Talk to an AI with your voice

Typing on a phone is slow. Tap the microphone in the message box, say what you want to ask, and the words appear as you speak. Edit them if you like, then send.

How it works

Click the mic to start; it pulses while listening. Click again, or send the message, to stop. Recognition pauses on its own when you stop talking. You can type first and then dictate; the spoken words are added after what you typed.

Your language

Recognition listens in your interface language: English, German, Spanish, French, Arabic or Chinese. The AI itself replies in whatever language you use, so you can dictate in English and ask for an answer in Urdu.

On the phone

The Android app has the same microphone, using the phone's own speech recognition. Conversations started on the phone appear in your history on the web, and the other way round.

Questions

Which browsers support voice input?
Voice input uses the Web Speech API. Use a current Chrome, Edge or Safari; where it is not supported the mic is hidden.
Does the AI talk back?
Replies are written text. Voice is for input: you speak, the AI writes.
Is my voice recorded?
Dictation is done by your browser or phone. Chatular receives the words, not the audio. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Does it cost anything?
No. Dictation is free and does not count against any allowance.
