Write, fix and explain code with AI
Chatular is an AI you can paste a stack trace into. It reads the error, tells you what went wrong in plain words and gives you the corrected code, formatted and ready to copy into your editor.
Fix an error
Paste the error message and the few lines around it. The reply names the cause, shows the corrected lines and explains why the change works, so you learn something rather than only copying a fix.
Code comes back in a fenced block with the language named above it and a copy button in the corner. Longer answers are structured with headings and lists, so a fix that touches three files reads as three steps.
Write something new
Describe the function, script or component you need and the language or framework it is for. Ask for tests, for a version without a library, or for the same thing in another language. Follow-up suggestions appear above the message box after each reply, so the next question is one click away.
Understand code you did not write
Paste a block you inherited and ask what it does, where it could fail or how to make it faster. Attach a screenshot of a diff or a terminal, and the AI reads that too.
In your editor
The same account works inside VS Code. The Chatular extension attaches the file you are editing as context and proposes edits as diffs you accept or reject, one by one.

Questions
- Which programming languages does it know?
- Any language the AI model has seen widely: JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, SQL, shell scripts, HTML and CSS, and more. Name the language and framework in your message for the best answer.
- Can it read a screenshot of my code?
- Yes. Attach or paste a screenshot and ask about it. Pasting the text itself gives a more exact answer, since the AI can then quote your lines back.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Start on the home page as a guest. Signing in is free and keeps your conversations so you can come back to them on any device.
- Can it change files in my project?
- On the web it gives you the code to paste. In VS Code, the Chatular extension can propose edits to your files, which you review as diffs before anything is changed.
