Voice input
Instead of typing, tap the microphone in the composer and speak. Your words appear in the input as you talk. Edit them if you like, then send as usual.
- Click the mic to start; it pulses while listening. Click it again, or send the message, to stop. Recognition also stops on its own after a pause.
- Recognition listens in your interface language: English, German, Spanish, French, Arabic or Chinese.
- You can type first and then dictate; the spoken words are added after what you typed.
Browser support: voice input uses the Web Speech API. Use a current Chrome, Edge or Safari; the mic is hidden where it isn't supported.
