API
Use Chatular from your own code. Anyone with an account can create a key. There are three calls in two APIs:
| Call | API | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Text to text | chatular-chat-api | POST /api/chat |
| Text to image | chatular-image-api | POST /api/image/text-to-image |
| Image to image | chatular-image-api | POST /api/image/image-to-image |
One key works for all three, on the same account and limits as the app. For a chat assistant on your website, the Agent has its own guide, linked below.
Your API key
1
Open Settings › API and create a key.
2
Copy it right away: it is shown only once.
3
Send it with every request, from your server. A key acts as your account, so never put it in a web page.
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
The address is https://api.chatular.ai.
Errors and limits
400 | Something is missing from the request, or the message breaks the usage policy. |
401 | The key is missing, wrong or revoked. |
429 | Too many requests (wait Retry-After seconds), or your token allowance is used up until it resets. |
503 | The chatbot is paused, or its owner's token allowance has run out. |
Tip: For a chat assistant on your website you don't need to write code: see Website chatbots.
